Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and SPEAR (Sigma Public Education and Research) Foundation team up to provide new shoes to children in local homeless shelters. The goal of the national shoe drive, “Soles for Little Souls,” is to give away 100,000 pairs of shoes to children in every community where Sigma Gamma Rho chapters exist. Distribution takes place simultaneously nationwide annually.

On Saturday, December 8th, 20180the "Motivated" Mu Beta Sigma Alumnae Chapter participated in the Sigma Public Education and Research (SPEAR) Foundation's Soles for Little Souls program. Soles for Little Souls is changing the world one pair of shoes at a time by collecting and distributing shoes to select community based organizations for elementary to high school age students.

We are proud to announce that we collected a total of 1,388 pairs of shoes, a 65% increase over last years' donation! Our Sorors delivered the new and gently used shoes to the Round Rock Service Center and the Family and Crisis Center in Killeen.
