The "Motivated" Mu Beta Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is proud to host our Annual Youth Symposium on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at The R.O.C.K. ATX 12224 Jourdan Crossing Blvd, Austin, TX 78753  from 10:00am to 3:00 pm. This year's theme is  “Elevating Our Youth: Civically, Socially, and Physically”. This is a FREE event for parents and students (ages 9-17). LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED!

 

The goal of this year’s theme is two-fold: 1) to provide critical information that will encourage attendees to participate in areas that impact and influence their daily lives; and 2) to provide youth attendees an opportunity to give back to their communities through service.

Youth Workshops include:

• Choose Me: “The Power To Decide”

• Eating For Life: Dietary Lifestyles, “What’s In Your Food” – reading labels, ingredients

• First Aid Training

Parent Workshops Include:

• Financial Aid 101

• How to financially prepare for student’s college education

​​

The event will also include:

• Short Film: “Answer Me”

• Panel Discussion:  “The Importance of Authentic Youth Engagement”

All students from 4th - 12th grade are encouraged to attend.​
